007: Bloody Beautiful: Harnessing Design to Fight Climate Change with Period Care

According to Project Drawdown (a coalition of scientists, economists and policymakers), educating girls is one of the top 5 most impactful solutions to combating climate change, which makes our guest’s mission of safe, accessible, and sustainable period care essential to the climate movement.

Today’s Guest: Betsy Drach

Betsy Drach is the founder of Dot Cup, the most beautiful menstrual cup on the market. Dot Cup is a mission-driven brand that pairs waste-free periods with women empowerment — for every cup purchased, one is given to a girl in need so she never has to miss school, work, or any opportunity because of something so normal as a period.

Prior to Dot Cup, Betsy was a former designer for clean water initiatives at World Vision, which gave her the design chops to build not only a beautiful brand but a more impactful one that pairs a buy-one, give-one model with education and cultural awareness.
