Nina Zilka (along with her partner David Krause) were fashion designers selling their own unisex, sustainable clothing line in New York City. After learning about the lack of FDA regulations in the skincare industry, Nina was making herself some kitchen-brewed dry shampoo when David convinced her sell it in their shop, and it quickly gained a cult following. Thus — Alder New York was born: Genderless, Clean, Affordable, Vegan skincare for all.
